Interview: Single DJ Do It Again
What's
that i hear you say? its the funky new anthem from
hot new singer Jaya. Jaya is 2010's hotly tipped new
female solo artist to shake up the charts with her
funky mix of pop dance and rnb. DJ Do It Again is
her debut single and is already making waves on radio
and tv across the country.

Do It Again, your first single release, what are your feelings
pre release? any nerves?
I'm extremely nervous and excited at the same time, It's my
first single a very big deal i can't wait to see it in the
charts so fingers are crossed it does well.
Is
DJ Do It Again a good indication of the sound of the rest
of your music?
DJ
Do It Again is a perfect way to introduce me a artist, there
are so many different elements to this songs, it gives me
a chance to show a different side to me, it's fun and upbeat.
With the album it has a different feel to it, all the songs
are very different from each other there is a mix of everything,
this song is a perfect first single.
Where
can we watch the music video to DJ Do It Again? Where did
you shoot the video?
The
video is on Tv and on the internet, we shot the video in a
big film studio in West London, on the 1st day of filming
i was so nervous, being my 1st video, it was such a good day,
i was so happy when i saw the final product.

Do it Again features re mixes from N Dubz, are there any more
re mixes to the song?
There
is so many re mixes aside the N Dubz there's the Dessy remix
and Funky house, the great thing about DJ Do it Again is so
many people can put there own take on it, interpret how they
want it to sound, This is one of the things i love most about
the song i love doing the re mixes and look forward to doing
more of the same.
Any
N Dubz calibrations coming up?
I'm
a big fan of them, they make great music, i loved spending
time touring with them, i look forward to finding time to
doing something with them in the studio.
What
about your debut album, when can we expect a release?
I'm
taking one step at a time, really just focusing on releasing
DJ Do It Again, hopefully early next year for the album can't
wait for you all to hear it.
You've
been working with big producers on your album, what can we
expect from your album?
I
have been working on my album for a while now, it is coming
across well, it's pop with dance and RNB, i'm working with
some amazing producers, Jonas Jeberg, who has worked with
Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue and Hawkeye who produced
DJ Do It Again and other songs i am working on with him. You
can expect a real variety of music from this album.
Are
you writing/ co writing any songs your self?
The
reason i'm so happy with how the album is going there is a
good balance of the way it is being made, there's a good calibration,
weather i have co wrote a song, wrote a song on my own or
other artists have written for me, what ever the end project
the most important thing is that i make an album that everyone
loves and i'm proud of:)
Having
toured with both Peter Andre and N Dubz what has the crowds
reaction been towards you?
With
Peter Andre it was my first tour, so nervous waiting backstage,
going out on stage looking out to the crowds they was all
females, you looking at the front females same at the back,
then you go to the next venue and you see all females again
all waiting/queuing to see Peter, it was crazy, i had so much
fun, they was welcoming. With N Dubz there was a lot more
dates of touring with them, i learned a lot from them, the
diversity in there music, different crowds an amazing experience.
Any
more tour supports coming up?
I
hope so, i'm concentrating on promoting DJ Do It again release
and supporting artists when i can, i recently supported Chipmunks
on tour, i absolutely love being on tour, it's an amazing
experience.
What
can we expect from a Jaya live show?
Expect
dancing, lots of drama, i love connecting with everyone, being
on stage i love it, expect a real crazy show.
Who
influences you musically?
My
parents and my sister influence my passion for music mainly,
musically Michael Jackson and Destiny's Child. I like to think
i'm a project of my own environment, anything or any one can
influence me, from watching tv to being out so i guess i am
a project to my own environment.
After
the release of Dj Do It Again what are your plans for the
rest of 2010?
I
have so many ambitions, from singing to acting, release more
music, get my album out there, it's important to concentrate
on my first single release, so i can release more music, if
2009 is anything to go by 2010 is going to be even crazier.
Where
can we catch you live?
Right
now i am doing lots of promoting for this single so you can
catch me everywhere! My next gig is in a couple of weeks at

Project was born in the consciousness of people, who
are infinitely devoted to art. It represents a certain
musical, literary and visual art symbiosis. The vision
of this project is to expand the role of art in people's
day-to-day lives. The realization of this idea is done
by continuously experimenting with visual, acoustic
and written aspects of art in a way, which resonates
with vibrancy and passion that is almost childlike in
its exploration. The key idea of this project is to
utilize visual art, comics, insightful stories and deeply
explorative experimental music in order to provide a
unique 4D image, which titillates the senses, borders
on the transcendent, but is still very accessible to
the masses.
The
end product consists of a multimedia package, which
includes elements of: a music album, a comic book and
an audio book all sophisticatedly combined, so that
each element intensifies the depth of the other art
