Your currently involved with the Light Bulb Thieves, how long have you been working with them? How did you come to work with them?

I have known Terry for years, We have written and produced tracks together for a band he was in years ago, likewise with Andrew. With the light bulb Thieves the opportunity came up at the right time and we have been working hard in the studio with there album.

Quite a few songwriters/producers are now coming from behind the scenes and releasing there own material is this something that you have thought of doing?

Yes, I actually did it the other way round, I started of releasing under my own name with studio B, we had hits around Europe and Australia i enjoyed it and i did a lot of djing mixing my own stuff, but my heart is in production, this is what i love and now i am super selective with who i work with and how i work.

From the Light Bulb Thieves album is there some tracks that you have really enjoyed working on more than the others?

Yes certainly, Rude Boy, i think its one of the bands favorites as well, it is the best track especially live, we actually wrote it quite quickly, i think it was either Terry or Andrew that wrote one line from it and the rest of the song just stemmed from that really, it came together easy, the process was quicker than Work It Out, with that coming from the film we spent longer on the whole process.

Having worked with a lot of different artists from the Sugababes to Professor Green-how do you come to work with them? do they come to you-how does the process work?

It is a mixture really, artists come to me and if there is some one i really want to work with i go all out and do everything in my power to work with them, You have to be hungary and have the passion to make it all happen, like with the Sugababes track i produced i really went for it and it payed off.

What is a typical day in the studio like for you?

16 hour days, 10 am starts, 4 pints of coffee, find out who is in the studio and crack some beats, we will literally try and write a song in a day, start from scratch with a blank sheet of paper and make some great music by the end of the day.

Where do you find your ideas/inspiration for how you want a track to sound?

I just pull ideas from all over, every day life, maybe something that i have heard on the radio that i think great sound or maybe something that i have seen on you tube anything can trigger off a song from old skool music or some thing new and fresh, it is about finding the right combination, from djing i play around with beats until it's right, it is the best feeling in the world when it all comes together well.

From your experiences working with different artists-what is your take on the current music scene?

I think it is very exciting, there is a lot of changes within the chart, it is very organic, kids want new music they are always on the look out for new bands. I love what Labyrinth is doing he made that Tine Tempha track, it is difficult in the charts so it is nice to see artists working together and calibrating it is very organic process.

What projects are you working on at the moment-anything that you can talk about?

I am working with a artist her name is Harmony she is amazing, she is young she is 20 she is with Mark Ronson's management, i actually met her when i was with the Def Jam camp in the office on the last day a girl came in her name Harmony she blew me away she is amazing look out from some great tracks to come from her, i am also working on a new Lemar track, Lots more with the Light Bulb Thieves they are my main focus, working on there cd excited with the tracks we have.

What is next for you?

Watch this space so much stuff happening, the Light Bulb Thieves next single and album i am putting everything in to them, they have some great music, good stuff coming out stayed tuned to the Light Bulb Thieves.
