Meet The Adelaides country pops newest talented band to emerge onto the music scene.
Paris, Alicia and Abi recently spoke with Music Promotions about Nashville, C2C, touring, new music and much more full interview below.
You performed at the Nashville CMA Festival, how was it?
CMA fest was such a surreal experience for us! It was amazing to do our first festival in USA and the response we got was really positive!
You have also performed at the UK C2C how was that?
We always love performing at C2C! The atmosphere is incredible and its brilliant to see the audience growing each year. The country music scene in the UK is getting bigger which is amazing.
What is it like to perform in the home of country music Nashville?
A little daunting because we don’t know how an American audience will take to us but fortunately they are always welcoming and they’re such friendly people.
What’s the story behind ‘Good Love’?
Good Love was written about positive aspects of relationships as we have a lot of heartbreak songs, it was really refreshing to write something more uplifting and personal to us.
What would be the best description of The Adelaide’s sound?
We’d describe our music as a fusion of country and pop music. We use lyrics based on our own life experiences and try to be honest and relatable.
Are you currently working on your album?
Yes! We just finished recording it in Nashville with our producer Femke but we currently have too many tracks which is only a good problem so we will have to make some decisions soon with regards to what goes on the album!
You’ve supported Meghan McKenna, Andy Brown, Keywest and Catherine McGrath how was touring with all them?
We just love touring!! We love being on the road and are so pleased to have had the opportunities to support such great artists. It was great to meet a lot of talented musicians that were part of the bands too!
Have you any more tours coming up? Possible headline or supports?
We are going back on tour with Charles Esten in October! We can’t wait!!
Abi you was in TV soap Hollyoaks for a short time would you like to go back into TV at some point?
I was indeed, I loved my time there, but music is my passion and music ended up taking more of a back seat because of filming commitments. Things are so busy with the band as well and we’re loving it so there wouldn’t be any time!
If The Adelaide’s Music was the sound track to any movie what would you like your music played on?
Any movie that has lots of sequels 😉
What were the last movies you watched?
We recently went to the cinema to watch the new Lion King!! It was so good that Abi cried when Mufasa died. Hakuna Matata.
What was the last concerts you attended just to watch?
We went to see Dan + Shay at London Shepherds Bush and they were fab!! We also got the chance to see Cam live at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville- she is awesome!
What have been your career highs so far?
Getting chosen to perform at CMA Fest was so honourable and also performing at BST Hyde Park supporting Celine Dion this year! Touring with Charles Esten has also been a high for us as we learned so much from him and became really good friends.
What is coming up next for you?
We have a few more summer festivals including performing the main stage at British Country Music Festival in Blackpool and then we’ll be going back on tour with Charles Esten in October where we’ll have our debut performance at the Royal Albert Hall. We will also be releasing some new singles!
Look out for our debut album coming early 2020! You can find our current singles on Spotify/iTunes/Amazon and we also have new merch! We will be selling our songs on vinyl on tour!
