Pop artist Emma Jaye  fell in love with music on the first song she wrote at the age of 8. Not knowing anything about a musical note, she wrote a song about her Dad and sang it to him proudly. She still remembers all the lyrics today. (more…)

Can you tell us more about who We Start Party’s are?

We Start Partys is a Pop band from the UK consisting of three members, Matt, Dave and Ben. Forming 4 and a half years ago, we band set out with the idea to make music which people can dance and party too, and we do exactly that!

Can you tell us something interesting about each of you that no one else knows?

Ben lived in Asia for 2 years when he was younger. Matt is really scared of Dogs, no matter the size, and Dave was scared of deep water and couldn’t swim up until a few months ago. We went to asia, had a week off and helped him get over it by going in the pool everyday!

Having scored two number ones already in Asia, how was that? Did you expect it to be like that?

We never thought in our right minds this would happen! We pushed some of our music video’s out there, in the hope that a few people liked them. Then one day we tuned and noticed the tracks were doing really well, getting playlisted all around Asia, then the following week “Make Tonight” was number 1, beating Foo Fighters, it was insane!

Your new single Superstar, is there any story behind it?

Superstar has been a song in the making for years. Ever since the birth of this band, Ben has always wanted to write a song about being famous, living like a rockstar and having all the money in the world. After sitting down and making the chord progression, the lead line “I wanna be a Superstar” was made, from there, the song wrote itself.

Is this a good indication of the future sound of We Start Party’s?

Yes. We began as a rock band, which then turned more as a dance rock band, and this new album will show our Pop roots. However Superstar is undoubtedly the more pop of all tracks on the album, the rest of the album is more guitar based.

How would you define your sound?

Fun Pop music. Simple as that!

What are your expectations toward UK success?

UK has always been really hard for us. Out of all the markets out there, UK has been really hard.We are just hoping that everyone will like the new single and album and hope they will support us in such a hard, competitive market.

Who in the charts are you listening to?

At the moment we are listening to a few people. Avicii, Disclosure, Robin Thicke, John Newmans new track is awesome, great production!

Any bands you would like to work with?

Bands, not really, producers, lots! The last year or two has seen the charts dominated by new upcoming producers making massive tunes. We would love to do a collab with David Guetta, Will I am, Avicii, Skrillex, those kinds of people!

Who are your music influences?

We are influenced by many things, music is one main thing, and life is the other. Just taking every day scenarios and turning them into songs. It’s great. When Ben sits down to write songs, he normally has an idea of what he wants to write about then writes the melody’s and lyrics to fit that.

Any plans to release an album soon?

We will be releasing our first full length album in October called “Nothing But Trouble”, please check it out when it comes out!

Have you got any live summer concerts coming up? Any possible supports?

What is next for you?

We are playing a Festival down South on the 14th September, then looking at a support tour after to run in conjunction of the release of our album. Cant wait!

Quick game round ( if you don’t mind) for the readers to get to know you better.

GTF are a duo, breaking the boundaries pushing them selves forward and making a name for GTF with music lovers, all ready building a fan base and a celebrity following with Member Jay being a fitness coach to the stars.

GTF are the band to watch out and listen up with live shows and music releases. Music Promotions caught up with Billy and Jay Aka for a chat about their music plans, summer shows, charts and more.

http://www.gtf-official.com/

http://www.facebook.com/pages/GTF

1: Jay: We’re Billy & Jay aka “GTF”, old school friends from Bow in East London. We’ve always been involved in music individually, up until last summer when we collaborated on a track together for the first time. The chemistry was clear, so we decided to try a project together, alongside our producer DJ Fats. A year later we’re about to release a debut single!
2: Billy: The single came about by chance one day in the studio. We were listening to some new tracks, this one stood out, so we began working on some ideas. One of us went “oh ahhhhhhh”, we instantly recognised the melody from the Fleetwood Mac classic! After a few other ideas we decided to give the cover a try, but obviously with our own twist…so far everyone seems to like our modern interpretation, so hopefully it catches on!
3: Jay: It’s hard for us to say whether we think its easier or harder to chart these days as this is our first single, but trust us when we say the work rate is immense! No stone can be left unturned, it’s crazy, but we’re definitely up for the challenge.
4: Jay: Between us we have such an eclectic range of tastes in music and artists, and we use those flavours in all our songs.
Billy: We get inspiration from the likes of Usher to Wiley, from Calvin Harris to Kings of Leon, Floyd Mayweather to Jay Z!!
5: Billy: There are so many artists & producers out there at the moment who we’re fans of, especially in the UK!
Jay: Disclosure, Naughty Boy, and Adele just to name a few, it’s great to see such brilliant homegrown talent making big moves!
6: Billy: Our sound is definitely a fusion of dance, hip hop, modern RnB, and even some rock, so it’s hard to put a name on it. We usually call it Urban Dance…we like to keep the energy high!
7: Jay: I’ve been making music since I was in school, but it didn’t pay the bills! Other than music I loved to keep fit, so I became a PT. I made quite a few contacts via the music which helped me build my name in fitness. I’ve trained Joey & Frankie Essex, Chip, Joanne Beckham, Ronnie O’Sullivan, and Simon & Anthony from Blue, just to name a few…
8: Jay: If we were ever asked to be a judge or coach on a big tv talent show I think that would be the day that you can truly say to yourself  “Yeah, we’ve made it!” Haha!
9: Billy: We’ve got a really busy schedule in the coming months, some big shows & supports, which is great! We can’t wait to be on the road doing what we’ve worked so hard for, it’s just the beginning for us!
10: Billy: If one of our tracks made it on to a movie soundtrack that we be unreal! I can just imagine Harry Potter riding his broomstick to “Wanna Be With You” Haha!
11: Jay: What’s next for us? Well, I guess that depends on how hard we’re willing to work…and we’re truly grafters!
Billy: Time will tell, but we’ve got a lot up our sleeves 😉

1.What have you been upto?
Its has been Lemon crazy! Im gigging alot and writing alot in the studio for myself and other artsits but also working on my Lemon premiere for kick Ass 2 coming out next week! I also did a Pussydrop flashmob around london 2 weeks ago zesting the streets!
2.For those who haven’t heard it yet, Can you tell us more about the new single Pussydrop?
It’s a fun urban pop track with a hiphop feel written by myself after being requested by my fans! It makes you want to get up and dance! Its naughty but fun and it comes with it very own dance move 😉 I have got an awesomely unexpected celebrity following who have done the Pussydrop for me!!! Tom Daley,
Noel Fielding, Jo Brand, Lee Nelson, dancers from Strictly Come Dancing, Phillip Olivier just to name a few! It also featured in the hollywood movie Kick Ass 2 and is on the compilation CD which is Lemontastic!!
3.When can we expect an album? .Is there anyone or any group you’d like to collaberate with that you haven’t already?
Next year the album will be out! Working hard writing in the studio and There will be lots of surprises! hiphop ballads, reggae summer tunes, some pop anthems and even some drum and bass, soca and Latinino sounds! I would love to collaborate with some more artists and one day Janet Jackson and Ciara will hopefully agree 😉 There will be ones on the album but it is a secret! You will have to wait and see!

4. Did you expect the Lemon Salute or Pussy drop to be so popular?
I had no idea it was going to attract so much attention! One of my Lemdrops (fans) ask me to write a song about the Pussydrop and then Tom Daley, Noel Fielding, Jo Brand, Lee Nelson, dancers from Strictly Come Dancing, Phillip Olivier and even Boris johnson joined in!!
5. Artists & celebrities are branching out with their own clothing range or perfume. Can we expect you to do the same?
I would love to one day create my own clothing line as I already make my own clothes now and performance outfits for my Lemdrops (dancers). However not for a LONG time. I want to focus on my music and deliver the most I possibly can for my LemonDrops (fans) before branching out.
6. Reality TV shows like X Factor, The Voice & American Idols find new popstars, is that a route any of you would like to go down?
I personally would never go down the reality tv route even though I have been asked a few times in the past. I think its an amazing platform for some singers and awesome TV for the general public. Because I write all my own music have my own vision on my brand and creativity I plan to take the old school route to maintain as much of ‘me’ as possible.
7. When can we expect a UK tour?
Next year for the proper Zest Tour but until then I am gigging all the time all over the country! Here are the dates I am performing ar over the next 4 weeks –

The Original Rude Boys Interview

The Original Rude Boys are the hottest new band to emerge from Ireland since The Script, the band they are currently supporting on tour.
Bringing screaming, huge support from the arena crowds, an incredible live show, amazing songs The Original Rude Boys are set to make 2013 their year. You can purchase a copy of their album right now all details to be found at their official web site www.theoriginalrudeboys.com.
The Original Rude are one of the nicest bands that i have interviewed very friendly, very down to earth. This interview was backstage at The Script tour in Sheffield right before they blew the roof off as the one and support.
Could you start by telling us more about The Original Rude Boys?
We are the Original Rude Boys, we have been together for over 2 years, we started out in March 2011 and stuck a video up for a few friends on you tube and people got hold of it and it went viral so here we are now as a band.
You have the album out now, is it just through your web site or is it available through itunes, amazon etc?
The album did get a proper release in Ireland, it was in all the stores and itunes it is also on amazon and band camp if your outside Ireland.
Could you talk us through any tracks what are on it does it define your music style?
Its just one part of of us, we are moving on to the second album now messing about with different sounds and progressing as a band and the music progresses along side it.
Who inspires you all as a band or individually?
I think we all have certain inspirations as a band that we agree on, like hip hop and the Beatles, as for individually we like singer songwriter stuff there is a whole list of everything with different genres that we are interested in but collectively we all agree on the Beatles that’s the only band that we agree on and like.
Is there any one that you would like to work with in the future or are you just mainly focusing on your selves as a band right now?
There is a lot of artists, we could list so many that we would love to work with in the future, with The Script being one, ED Sheran there is so many to name hopefully by next year we will have a few of those ticked!
How are you finding touring with The Script so far? having done the Ireland and Now UK Dates?
We did the Irish dates and the Europe dates with the lads, its like being on tour with your mates, we get on well with them we live down the road from them in Ireland, so its like same band same jokes its like being with a group of mates, they have welcomed us.
It is really nervous performing the live arenas playing the first arena gig we got a brilliant welcome the rest has all been plain sailing so fingers crossed it carries on like that.
Have you had any favorite venues that you have performed so far or have you loved them all the same?
We loved them all its very easy to love them all its huge, i think with arenas they are all the same big, the crowds are what make the gig and they have been so welcoming its been great for us.
Have you got any more tours coming up after The Script? anything that you can talk about?
We have been announced for T in the Park in Scotland that’s a festival and we do hope to after The Script tour to do our own smaller tour around the UK and get the name out there and hopefully we will be announced for a few more festivals around the UK as well so there will be a lot more of us on this side of the world this year.
Have you got a single coming out soon over here soon?
Its not been decided yet it’s all hush hush at the moment but you can definitely expect something in the near future. Fingers crossed it will be this year.
For any one who has not been to see you live yet what can they expect? a little taster 🙂
A lot of energy on stage and a lot of surprises so people will get to know our music and the people that do know our music say we sound better live than we do on the album that is fantastic to hear, really nice… they can expect a proper good show 🙂

What is coming up next for you any thing that you can discuss?
Back home in Dublin we have two headline shows at a place called the Olympia theatre so we are pretty excited about that and we are going off to Australia to do stuff and off to different countries getting the music out there.
