Can you tell us more about Jess and the Bandits?
We consists of Jess who is from Houston, Texas and Ricci, Louis,
Dave, and Steve who are all from the UK. We’re a contemporary country
band.

How did you all come together?
We met when Jess was opening for The Overtones a few years ago.
We were their backing band on tour and instantly had a connection with
Jess. From that moment on we not only became friends but started
playing together. The next obvious step was to make it official and
become a band.

When can we expect a new single from you?
Well our single ‘You Can’t Stop Me’ has just been added to the
BBC Radio 2 playlist so I would imagine in the next month or two we
will start rolling out our next single.

Can you talk us through your album?
Sure. We wanted to start the album out by instantly grabbing the
listeners attention and setting the mood for the album. That is why we
chose ‘Ready Set’. From there we take the listener on a journey with
songs like ‘Love Like That’ which is one of our favourite mid tempo
tracks on the album. From there we pick it back up with a sassy song
called ‘Wanted Man’ and next on to female empowerment with ‘Nitty
Gritty’. ‘If You Can’t Be Mine’ has become a fan favourite and one of
ours as well about wanting someone who you know isn’t any good for
you. Every good album must has a couple of ballads and ‘What If’
definitely ticks that box. It’s a song about the battle between
putting your heart on the line or living with the regret of never
doing it. The next 3 are definitely some the ladies will love. ‘My
Name Is Trouble’, ‘Drunk On Me’, and ‘Getting Into Something’ are all
about a little flirtation. The title track ‘Here We Go Again’ is
another big ballad about being wrapped up in the wrong love and not
having the strength to leave. We wrap up the album with a little Texas
Country, bringing you a taste of what Jess grew up with on, ‘Single
Tonight’. Just when you think it’s over we have a little bonus track
of our version of the legendary Glen Campbell’s ‘Wichita Lineman’.

What can we expect?
You can expect to fall in love with this album and it will
definitely have plenty of anthems for the summer!

How would you describe your own sound?
I would say we are contemporary country. A nice mix of the
things everyone loves about transitional country but with some rock
and pop to make it edgy.

How was performing at the massive country festival at London’s O2 venue?
Unbelievable. We played both days at the Brooklyn Bowl and were
shocked to find out we filled the venue to capacity and had a massive
queue of people waiting to get it. It was amazing!

If you could work with any other artists from that line up who would you choose?
We would love to work with Striking Matches. They are incredible
songwriters and we’d love to see what we could cook up!

Any artists in the charts that you would like to record with?
Sam Hunt would be a fun one. We each have our own style of
country music that a collaboration between us could be something
amazing.

Have you any plans to tour here in the UK or maybe even a world tour?
Yes! We are currently working on finalising our UK tour and will
be announcing that soon. A world tour is definitely in the plans.

What has been your favorite place to perform so far?
It’s a tie between the main stage at the #LondonO2 and #WembleyArena.

Where can we see you live?
We will be doing lots of festivals this summer so we’d love to
see people come out to those. Visit our website for the latest info on
our tours and festivals.

Any summer festivals/supports?
We are playing Cornbury, Rambling Man, and have several others
adding to the list as we speak!

What is next for you?
World domination! Haha but until then we are going to do some
more writing and definitely performing. We love getting on stage and
putting on a show. We can’t wait to bring that to the fans.
