UK POP PRINCESS
DANIELA BROOKER TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘FORGET ABOUT YESTERDAY’
Fresh off a sold out arena tour with the UK’s hottest girlband
‘The Saturdays’, Daniela Brooker is set to release her
eagerly anticipated single ‘Forget About Yesterday’
on February 13th 2012.
“Forget
About Yesterday, with its uplifting vibe and pop credentials, sounds
like the first big hit of many to come. A natural on stage and with
songs as pleasing to the ear as she is to the eye, this is definitely
a name to watch out for in 2012”. - Gigjunkie
2011 was an
exciting adventure for golden girl Daniela Brooker. Not only did
she headline a US tour for the Hard Rock Cafe, but upon returning
to the UK, Daniela embarked upon an arena tour with the pop sensations
‘The Saturdays’ playing in prestigious sold out venues
such as Wembley Arena, the MEN and the Dublin O2.
Daniela’s
latest offering, ‘Forget About Yesterday’, is scheduled
for release on the 13th of February, with a launch party at top
London venue 229 to follow on the 17th. The pop starlet will be
showcasing her vocals, performing a number of hits as well as her
catchy and care-free self-penned new single.
The video for the new single has already caused quite a stir. Having
debuted with MTV Buzzworthy in the US on January 26th , and Yahoo!
OMG exclusively revealing the visuals for this feel-good anthem
in the UK on the 27th, it looks as though Daniela’s star will
continue to rise during 2012, so watch this space.

The
Berlin singer/songwriter’s debut single “Buckle Up”
is an autobiographical song in which Roxanne captures the challenges
she faces as a young artist, far from home in today’s diminished
music industry. Ed Dark, in charge of visual effects on Harry Potter
and the Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Part 1 & 2, directed the video … a high-risk extravaganza
that required spy cameras, escape plans, bail money and unwittingly
involved the BBC and Hugh Jackman!
For
Roxanne de Bastion there is no plan B. Performing since she was
10 and composing since she was 15 years old, she is a musician,
heart and soul. Roxanne moved to the UK in 2007. She had her guitar,
a suitcase and a one-way ticket. In the 4 years since then, she
has gone from playing open mic nights to headlining some of England’s
most prestigious venues such as the 100 Club, the Cavern Club and
the Barfly.
Roxanne performs regularly in the major music centres, Berlin, London
and New York. Berlin’s raw cool, England’s musical legacy
and New York’s vibrancy have all coloured her music - it’s
honest, quirky and in a genre of its own. Her song writing has been
aligned to Dylan, Ray Davies and Regina Spektor. Roxanne’s
song “One Morning” was embraced by the BBC, receiving
national and regional airplay (Tom Robinson, Martin Winch and Dave
Monks).
Together
with her songs, it is Roxanne’s remarkable stage presence
and spirit that captures ears and hearts – her live shows
are magically dynamic and engaging, invariably mass sing-along.

Caro Emerald returns to the UK in March for her largest UK tour
to date – tickets for which are already sold out. On March
26th she’ll release ‘Dr Wanna Do’ as the last
single from her phenomenally successful debut album ‘Deleted
Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’, which has now sold more
than 1 million copies throughout Europe and been certified Platinum
in the UK.
The scat-tinged ‘Dr Wanna Do’ is yet another effortlessly
winning pop song from the Dutch singer – a record breaker
in her homeland – who seems to have a limitless supply up
her sleeve. It follows in the footsteps of her radio smash hits
‘Back It Up’, ‘Riviera Life’, ‘The
Other Woman’, ‘Stuck’ and ‘A Night Like
This.’ The album ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room
Floor’ was one of the top selling independent releases of
2011, and was re-released in November with a bonus live DVD of Caro’s
performance at Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall.
In addition to her March tour, Caro has already announced two festival
shows for the summer. 2011 saw her on the bill for BBC Radio 2’s
Live In Hyde Park, and this year she’ll be performing for
Hampton Court’s summer festival series, and also featuring
at the Isle of Wight festival. A smash hit when she appeared on
Jools Holland’s 2011 Hootenanny, Caro’s sassy combination
of uptempo verve with old-school glamour is an unmissable treat
live.
Maverick Sabre
Debut album – Lonely Are The Brave
Released 6th February
Maverick Sabre’s stunning debut album ‘Lonely
Are the Brave’ is now set for release, and is sure to be one
of the highlights of early 2012 with it hitting the shelves on 6th
February 2012.
Maverick has quickly established himself as one
of the most unique voices in UK pop. A genuine talent who worked
his way to prominence, his voice has done the talking. Retro-tinged
soul numbers meet the hardened lyrics of his past. It’s the
sound of a man that has lived a life, away from the bright lights
of the Brit School generation and learned his craft the hard way,
with no outside assistance, just his voice and an indefinable inner
belief.
London-born and Ireland raised, his childhood has
given him a unique voice, blending the accents he picked up in the
two areas of his childhood with a natural, almost retro-soul tinge,
a voice that he has developed since first emerging with his ‘Travelling
Man’ mixtape. At first a rapper, he found his own voice over
time, and this is what shines through here. As a socially-aware
voice for his generation, he is in a unique position for these uncertain
times.
Brought up on the music of his father, Maverick
immersed himself in Chuck Berry and Bob Dylan as a kid, and it’s
from the latter that he developed his broader worldview, a belief
that it’s his duty to shine a light on the burning issues
of the day.
Recent single ‘I Need’ is a burnished
modern day blues track whilst debut single ‘Let Me Go’
is built around a classic sample by Isaac Hayes, it’s blasts
of brass underpin a brilliantly distinctive vocal that helped mark
out Maverick as one of the most exciting and unique voices in credible
UK pop. ‘No One’ will follow these two Top 20 hits as
the third single to be taken from ‘Lonely Are The Brave’.
In the last year he has toured with Snoop Dogg,
as well as working with Professor Green (who he won an NME Award
with for the track ‘Jungle’), Chase & Status and
Cee-Lo Green. His songs are filtering through to the mainstream,
with new fans in the likes of Katy B who recently covered ‘Let
Me Go’ on Radio 1’s Live Lounge. Earlier this year he
pulled out a show-stopping performance on Later With Jools Holland
with his rendition of ‘I Used To Have It All’. Other
TV appearances include an acoustic performance as part of this year’s
BBC Glastonbury coverage, as well as slots on Soccer AM and T4 interviews. He
has garnered praise in Q, Sunday Times Culture, Guardian, Dazed,
Time Out, Wonderland, Clash and more, and been championed by Mistajam,
Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens and Fearne Cotton at Radio 1, going on to
be one of the moist played acts at the station this year, Maverick
Sabre is set to fly into 2012 on the back of his unique and beautifully
crafted debut album
Tracklisting:
I Need
Let Me Go
Open My Eyes
Memories
Cold Game

CARO EMERALD AWARDED THE IFPI PLATINUM EUROPE AWARD
‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor – Platinum
Edition’ CD/DVD Out Now
Dramatico Records and Grandmono are proud to announce that Caro
Emerald’s debut album ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting
Room Floor’ is now certified Platinum in both Britain and
Germany, 6x Platinum in Holland, and has been awarded the IFPI Platinum
Europe Award for sales exceeding 1 million copies in Europe.
‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’ spent
30 weeks at number 1 in Holland following its release in January
2010. Released across Europe in late 2010 and early 2011 the album
has proved to be a perfect example of a word-of-mouth hit. This
week in Britain it has been certified Platinum, with sales exceeding
300,000 copies, where it spent ten weeks in the top ten of the album
chart. Caro has also been awarded the prestigious Edison Award and
been nominated for both an MTV EMA and for ‘Best Independent
Breakthrough’ at the inaugural AIM Awards.
Caro’s career started when an impromptu performance of her
first song ‘Back It Up’ on a local TV station in Holland
was posted to YouTube, leading to an overwhelming clamour to hear
more of this phenomenally exciting new singer. Working with her
producers David Schreurs, Jan van Wieringen and Vince Degiorgio,
the result was an album that has now become the third best-selling
independent record of the year in the UK, with Adele’s ‘21’
and ‘19’ taking the top two positions.
Upon its release in late 2010 ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting
Room Floor’ debuted at number 1 on the Official Charts Company’s
UK Jazz and Blues Albums Chart, knocking Michael Bublé’s
‘Call Me Irresponsible’ from the top spot. With strong
reactions to her first two singles ‘Back It Up’ and
‘Riviera Life’, Caro was forced to take time off her
promotional activities at the start of 2011 when a routine check-up
revealed a polyp on her vocal chord that required emergency vocal
surgery. Since her return to the spotlight in May, Caro has been
a constant feature on UK TV, radio and in the press, with televised
performances on ‘This Morning’, ‘Strictly Come
Dancing’ and ‘Children In Need’, as well as a
planned appearance on Jools Holland’s annual New Years’
Eve Hootenanny. To celebrate the album’s Platinum status,
a new edition of Caro’s album has been released which comes
bundled with a DVD of her live performance at the Heineken Music
Hall in Amsterdam.
Caro has only played a handful of sold-out live dates in the UK
thus far, including an appearance for BBC Radio 2’s Live In
Hyde Park. She played a capacity show at O2 Shepherds’ Bush
Empire on December 13th, and will return for her first UK tour in
March 2012, which is already well on the way to become another sell-out.
Featuring the singles 'Back It Up, 'Riviera Life' and 'A Night
Like This', ‘Stuck’, The Other Woman’ ‘That
Man’, Caro’s album is a winning, assured and highly
individual pop record. Drawing from a rich pool of swing, jazz and
pop influences, ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’
is an accessible record that recalls the glamour and sophistication
of 40’s and 50’s film and music while updating that
sound for a modern audience.
