Can you tell everyone more about your EP Surrender?

It is a 5 track EP that I wrote about the time with my ex-girlfriend.I combined my background as Deep House producer with my voice and acoustic songwriting which resultet in an ‚Indie Electronic‘ sound.

If you could collaborate with any artists who would you like to work with?

I would like to work with Camelphat since they have an interesting approach to working with vocalists on their dance tracks.

You’ve performed over 60 venues the past years what has been the most memorable part for you?

We played on a Festival in the Netherlands and the stage was on a lake, so in order to get on stage we had to carefully get our equipment on stage with a rowboat.

Anything else live coming up?

We are planning a local event in Stockholm for November/ December to showcase my live show to people in the industry.

From your EP will there be a full length album Coming soon?

I will release singles, remixes and EPs first and hope to release an album in a year or two.

How would you describe your music sound and style?

It is a mix of deep electronic sounds and indie singing/songwriting.

Some would say that it reminds them of The XX.

As a DJ and solo artist what advice would you give to up and coming artists looking for a break in the industry?

Well I don’t think I am in any position to give advice there, but I guess just keep improving your sound and make more music.

What is next for you?

The next step is to release a few collaborations with artists that have a different sound, mostly dance music.

One of the collaborations will be with Montreal based producer Ash, who has a very special, oriental influenced sound.

Anything further you’d like to add?

Currently I am documenting the behind the scenes of my life as upcoming artist in short vlogs on Instagram @paulwetz – go check it out.
