Girl
In The Club is out now. what are your own charts expectations?
I
would love mainstream success, the charts are good right now,
I'm looking for good marketing for my music, just getting
my name out there, getting recognized into the mainstream
having my music heard.
Writing
and producing Girl In The Club-How long do you spend on the
creative process of making your music? Who influences you
musically?
With
writing it can range from a day to 2 months it really just
depends on the track, with Girl In The Club it was really
simple and easy, the lyrics are easy to listen and relate
to, on some of my tracks when you listen to the lyrics about
80% relates to what your doing, something you remember, i
just want to make music that can be enjoyed by everyone.
You
have spent a long time building up you profile/ making a name
for your self in this industry how did you come to sign your
record deal?
I
started out when i was 12 years old, building a independent
project, i have always had a passion for music, i started
going out listening to live music and I've had a real passion
for performing live ever since, i started out djing just to
find my feet, just finding a way to perform my craft, getting
out there meeting people, building up my own fan base, making
a name for my self.
Through djing/performing i got to meet people from doing that
i'm so grateful to be in the position to be able to release
my own music into the main stream.
How
important is commercial success to you?
It
is important but its more about the whole package, enjoying
the music, working the field towards commercial success catering
towards different genres and getting my music out there in
to the public having my music heard on the radio, i'm just
happy to be able to get out there performing live and i hope
you all enjoy what you hear.
The
tracks that you have had aired at the mobos, will you be re
mixing any of them for your album?
Definitely
yes, I will be releasing them to the album, getting that success
was a blessing to me, having my music aired on the BBC was
amazing, when the BBC contacted me to ask if they could use
my tracks it was a fantastic feeling.
Does
Girls In The Club give a good introduction of what we can
expect from your album? when can we expect your album released?
There
isn't really one specific genre, pop and R&B there is
a mixture of different ideas i wanna cater for many different
genres as possible build up a following,
the album is still in progress, it is unfinished i am getting
the main tracks written and recorded i have one song which
could be the next single but it's not 100% comfirmed i'm waiting
to see what route Girl In The Club takes me first, working
towards a stronger platform.
Are
you writing for any other artists? Any collaborations you
can tell us about?
At
the moment i am just writing for my self, hopefully for other
artists in the future it depends on my work load
I have done post productions for other artists who have catered
between Hip Hop and R&B, i am definitely up for duets
in the future getting together with a mainstream artists at
the same time i'm always looking to work with up and coming
new talent. It is something that i love to do.
What
is next for you?
Just
writing and producing, have things ready focusing on prep
before it gets really busy, getting out there with promo for
this single and lots of live performing. It is all coming
together nicely i cant wait to be on stage performing live
for everyone.
