Does Frontline hint at what
your debut album will sound like?
Basically it's on the E.P,
which will be out in September, at the moment i'm doing Funky
House, which is kinda dominating the dance scene,
there's both light and hard tracks on the e.p.
Was Frontline written by you? do you write all your own songs,
do you write with any one else?
Yeah i did write Frontline,
i write the lyrics my self i get an idea for a song before
going in to the studio, then mix it up when i get in there,
its like a fusion,
the producers are amazing, we get creative and come up with
a fresh sound.
Frontline has a massive following on
the dance scene, did you ever imagine the reaction would be
this huge?
It's crazy, i get asked this
question a lot... I've been working in music for quite a while
when Frontline was picked up, Front line was the first ever
funk house I've done, I'm so pleased how well it's been received.
Frontline was an accident i wasn't doing Funky house at the
time
i was in a band doing rnb and hip hop, Frontline was something
different, it was a challenge and its worked.
When your performing live is Frontline
your stand out track? the one that gains the biggest crowds
reaction?
Erm... Frontline is always
the song which gets a great reaction, its been out since March,
its a good song to engage with... i'm doing more songs, one
of the songs is Big boys, the feedback is good.
What is your live show like?
With a live show can swing
both ways, i loved doing i love live sponsored by Mtv i did
funky house it was really energetic then there's others gigs
when I'm performing with a live band, depending where you
catch me each show can be really different, i love performing
live engaging with the crowds.
Are you nervous about following up the success off your first
single?
After such a massive following
from Frontline, your going to be under pressure to follow
up a great track, hopefully it will continue with Big boys.
There isn't really any artists
in that chart like your self, what would you say sets youself
apart from other artists?
I think with Funky house music,
it niche music, it is different, its not , its in a different
arena i'm proud to be part of something fresh.
Who influences you musically?
Initially my background is
80's pop that's what i grew with that's in my soul, my pears
influences me: Kayla she has nice tracks, Katie B, i'm also
influenced from Titchy stryder and N Dubz i love what they
are doing, any one who keeps it real influences me.
Your performing at the Ash field show
in August, what plans do you have lined up over the Summer?
I'm looking forward to the
Ash field show, at the moment i'm on tour with Naho, i have
a few dates in Ayia Napa and overseas, festivals over here,
my diary is so full, i have my own business,
( You have your own clothing line don't you?) I do yes...
It's a new business.. ( do you sell your clothes online do
you have a web site?) I do sell them on line my web site is
http://www.binghisboutique.com. I have a couple of stalls
across London on trendy markets, Shepherds Bush Market and
TRAINIQUE.
You can find out more at Nyah Princess web site.
